Should Hillary Rodham Clinton Quit Now with Her Pride Intact? |

The chance that we will see Hillary Clinton for president is now miniscule. Yet Hillary Rodham Clinton appears to be soldiering on. While I admire her tenacity, I wonder if there is a point when Hillary Rodham Clinton should gracefully call it a day if she wishes to avoid making a fool of herself. A quick look at today’s new headlines tells me that the Clinton vs. Obama battle has, for all intents and purposes, already been won and Barack is the victor. He has now turned his attention to John McCain and they are doing battle with each other. Yet Hillary Rodham Clinton still perseveres and news reports claim that she boasts about leading in every poll. I admire and respect anybody who can show so much pluck and determination, but at this stage I am beginning to think Hillary should stop flogging that dead horse. A person can not expect to succeed at every undertaking and sometimes it takes more courage to admit defeat than it does to continue trying to win when everybody around you can see you have already lost. The fact that she put up a good fight has won her the respect and admiration of her supporters even though she lost the Clinton vs. Obama battle. Winning is less important than having the courage to take part.
