Gone is the Balance Hillary Rodham Clinton Offered |

 By now everybody knows that we won’t have Hillary Clinton for president. Hillary Rodham Clinton is one of those characters that you will either love or despise. Those Americans who didn’t like her are delighted that Barack ultimately won the Clinton vs Obama battle. Now the competition is between Obama and McCain. I wonder why people think that either or these two candidates are likely to do a better job than Hillary Rodham Clinton would have. Personally, I don’t like either of them. In all honesty I’m no big fan of Hillary either, but I think she’d have at least done a better job than either of the remaining candidates. Having to choose between Obama and McCain is like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. You have to choose between a major tax hike or the continuation of an excessively aggressive foreign policy. Neither one of those options appeals to me. Hillary Rodham Clinton was by no means a perfect candidate for president, but at least she offered balance. She was less conservative on the subject of foreign policy than McCain but not quite as fiscally liberal as Obama.
