Hillary Rodham Clinton
That is the $64,000 question.  Can Hillary Rodham Clinton shed enough of her past baggage accumulated over many years of public life and become president?  A friend asked me if I thought the Democratic party was a shoe in for the 2008 election.  My response was, "The only way the Democrats could screw up the next election is if they nominate Hillary Rodham Clinton as their candidate."

I am not saying that I do not like Senator Hillary Clinton.  She has done much in her tenure in the Senate that has been beneficial.  However, her unapologetic support of the illegal Iraq invasion gives me suspicions that she would not be a President that would get us out of Iraq at anytime soon and Iraq was the main reason the Democrats gained a majority in the House and Senate in the midterm elections.

Additionally, Hillary Rodham Clinton has accumulated enough personal and political baggage to be a liability to the Democratic Party.  Suspicions linger about many of her activities going back to her days as First Lady in Arkansas.

I have a great deal of concern about the candidacy of Hillary Rodham Clinton and I think many other Americans do, as well.  It has everything to do with her actions and her inactions on key issues, such as Iraq, that make me wonder about her electability.
