Hillary Rodham Clinton was elected to the United States Senate from the state of New York in 2000. She has continued to advocate for children and families and been a national scale leader and figurehead of homeland security and national security issues. After the events of September 11, Senator Hillary Clinton has been working with her colleagues to make good use of the funds for New York City to rebuild and recover. Senator Hillary Clinton has been working hard to provide compensation those the families of the victims of the terrorist attacks and to help out surrounding small businesses through grants, and health care for those front line workers at Ground Zero. Senator Hillary Clinton continues to work to grow and maintain the resources of the state of the New York, and to ensure the safety and homeland security of New York residents and other communities. Hillary Rodham Clinton works not only for the state she represents but for the larger picture: to prevent future attacks on American soil.
